Meet Alice Parrish - 'The Artsy Gardener'
				As a child, I loved to work in the yard with my parents who were accomplished gardeners. My mom and dad were painters as well, and I have always felt a kinship with their talents on canvas… except that I create my art with plants and flowers. I like to scatter blooming annuals, perennials, shrubs and trees throughout the landscape to add interest to all four seasons. Fragrance and color are an important element in my designs to attract birds, and butterflies. I also introduce beneficial insects. Combining evergreen and deciduous shrubs and trees lends interest, texture and year ‘round color. Water features and Secret Gardens soothe the mind and soul. Whether a formal or casual landscape, perennial beds, bulbs or a special secret garden, I listen closely to my clients, then use my 22 years’ experience to create a custom installation to meet needs and lifestyle and bring their outdoor space to life with beauty.
